Open House, 1st day of School, Under the Stars & Kick-Off Classic…

…yeah, it's been a busy crazy week! As we prepare for school and a lot of other events happening this week, we also have family coming in from Texas for the weekend, none the less, it was a great week!

Wednesday, Robert had open house @ BHS, we walked his schedule, met the teachers, we are both excited about this upcoming year, okay at least I know I am. He of course also enjoyed catching up with old friends and getting to see everyone he didn't get a chance to hang out with this summer. Time will tell how ready he really is, after not having the kind of freshman year he wanted academically, I think he is ready for the challenges that being a sophomore will bring, or at least he has us convinced!

Thursday, Emma had open house @ Lanier Academy where she will participate in the Georgia Pre-K program, although she is 5 and could technically start kindergarten, we felt it best for EVERYONE, that she take advantage of this awesome program, it will give her another year to get ready for "big" school, this of course, is for someone who already thinks that school is overrated and is not sure why anyone has to go…yeah that's our girl! After having the summer off you think she would be ready, but time too well tell. Tonight we met up with Emma Manders in the parking lot along with other Buford kids who will be going to school with her, I wish I had my camera to capture the sweet moment when they took each other's hands and walked into the building. Hopefully seeing a lot of friends that she knows will ease her mind and get her "motivated" to start school on Monday!

Friday, 1st day of school for Big Rob, fun and uneventful. However, Friday night we participated in "Under the Stars", it's an event that the football program puts on for the community, the players get introduced and those who made weight training "clubs" get recognized. Robert did his thing with the team, Emma played with Hannah and other friends jumping in the moon walks, enjoying snow cones and all the other stuff she could get into. I did my thing, helped man the "UA" table and help with sales of football gear. It was a great night, good to see everyone out and enjoying the evening with other community members and friends!

Saturday, Kick-Off Classic...this would mark the 13th year we have attended this event…wow, where did the time go, seems like yesterday we were there at noon to watch lil Raymond on the 6 & 7 year-old team scrimmage and tonight we will be watching Robert as he scrimmages. This day brings a lot of fun to the community as we get to preview what each age from 6 & 7 year-olds to Varsity show us what they have, in the way of players and their teams.

Tyler giving Robert some pointers...or at least that is what it looks like!

Coach Cutt talking to the boys, his thoughts are the ones that really matter!

His practice number is 69, he is the one with the grey undershirt

doing what he does, protecting the line
